BonkeyBong

BonkeyBong is a boutique software shop specializing in web services, tooling, and user experience.

Overview

We’re a boutique software shop specializing in web services, tooling, and user experience. Our experience building large-scale web applications spans a decade, while our time designing and building for the web spans nearly two.

BonkeyBong was created in 2017. The founders, Dirk Heniges and Jay Contonio, met in 2010 during the redesign of fcc.gov, the first since the site launched in 1996. From here the two went on to create products for the likes of the GSA, Starbucks, Google, FedEx, and NYU. Throughout their work together, Dirk and Jay have focused on leading small, efficient teams, while mentoring junior talent and creating great collaborative work environments.

Services

  • Engineer custom API-driven applications
  • Accessible and engaging interface development
  • Product strategy and development

Our ideal project

Our ideal project is partnering with a startup or non-profit to build data-driven, accessible products. We are a full-stack shop and take projects from concept to launch, from building APIs and managing deployments to crafting superior user experiences.
