# Usage tools and safer schema editing

## New Features

- `usage_snapshot_get` and `usage_history_get` tools: Read API request, document, AI, and other usage for projects, organizations, and Media Libraries.

## Improvements

- `create_project` tool: Configure the appropriate default CORS origin when given a supported app-builder alias.
- `get_schema` tool: Deprecated the `schemaId` selector.
- `list_workspace_schemas` tool: Deprecated in favor of `get_schema` for inspecting the deployed schema.

## Fixes

- `schema_fields_patch` and `schema_types_delete` tools: Preserve validation and other settings on fields and types you haven't edited, avoiding unrelated conversion-loss reports. The deprecated `allowLossy` parameter is now ignored.
- Schema deployment: Corrected guidance to distinguish registered Studio schemas from legacy schema documents, including the command for self-hosted Studios.
- `patch_documents` tool: Fixed patches with negative array indices being rejected when followed by additional unset operations.
- `documents_validate` tool: Accept references from a release document to documents in the same release, and flag references to documents the release unpublishes.
- Schema validation: Messages for undeclared document types and fields now say "error" when they block `create_documents` or `patch_documents`, and `documents_validate` reports those documents as invalid. These errors also explain that the deployed schema must be updated.
