Before touching DNS, verify:

  • Every Webflow URL has a destination or a 301 in vercel.json
  • All references resolve in staging
  • Rich text renders correctly: images load, internal links point to the right paths
  • Every form submits end-to-end — test each one individually
  • Analytics and pixels are firing on key events
  • Draft mode and visual preview are working
  • Lighthouse scores are acceptable
  • OG images render for the homepage and key landing pages
  • /sitemap.xml is accessible
  • /robots.txt is configured correctly
  • Custom 404 page is implemented as app/not-found.tsx and visually verified
  • Webflow staging URL is bookmarked — keep it live for at least two weeks as a reference

Lower your DNS TTL to 300 seconds (5 minutes) at least 24 hours before cutover. This makes propagation faster and rollback faster if you need it.

Point your DNS records to your new hosting provider. If Webflow is managing your domain rather than just hosting a CNAME, factor in the domain transfer time — that step has its own clock separate from DNS propagation.

Watch your 404 rate in the first 24 hours. Some URL patterns that seemed covered will surface gaps in your redirect map. Fix them immediately — the impact on SEO compounds the longer they stay open.

Keep the Webflow staging URL bookmarked and accessible. It's your reference for visual QA against any reported regressions.
