Now with comment mentions and revision history support

Published: August 4, 2025

v2025-08-04

Mentions

Canvas now has support for mentioning organization users in comments using the familiar @name syntax. Mentioned users are notified via email, and you'll also now receive email notifications for any comments in a document you've originally authored.

At this time, users need access to the document to be mentioned. In the future we plan to expand this functionality to make adding users and sharing access easier from the mention dialog.

History

You can now view a document history, and revert to previous versions. The interface should be familiar for Studio users.

Select the "..." icon in the top-right of a document, then select "History".

The history panel is displayed on the right. To view an older version, select it from the list. With an older version selected, you can "Restore" it by selection the button in the bottom right.
