Influenza is a modern editorial template for publishers, newsrooms,magazines and personal blogs. It pairs a classic newspaper layout (boldmasthead, ruled navigation, multi-column front page) with clean typography and plenty of white space, so your stories stay the focus.

Every page is built from sections you can add, remove and reorder in SanityStudio, with no code needed. Pick the stories for your hero slider, choosewhat goes in each column of the front page, and organise posts intocategories that get their own paginated pages automatically.
Posts support images, videos, tags and rich article bodies with picturesthat can sit full width or float beside the text. A working contact formsends messages straight to your inbox through Resend.
Influenza comes with complete demo content (posts, authors, categories,images and videos) that you can import in one command, so your site looksfinished from the first run.
Features
Video hero slider
Feature up to six stories in a wide slider at the top of the home page. Eachslide plays the post's video silently in a loop, or shows its image, withthe date, headline and author on top. Swipe, drag or let it autoplay.
Editorial front page
A three-column layout made for news: a lead story with image and excerpt,text-only headlines on one side, and an advert slot with thumbnail stories onthe other. Every slot is picked from your posts in the Studio.
Category pages with pagination
Every category gets its own listing page with a page title, a three-columnpost grid and numbered pagination. Add a category to the menu in one clickand it highlights while visitors browse it.
Article pages that keep readers reading
Long-form layout with a large image or video player, date, intro and richtext. The sidebar shows a newsletter signup, the post's tags, a featuredstory card and the latest posts. Share buttons for Facebook, LinkedIn and X.
Video posts
Upload an MP4 or WebM to any post. It plays in the hero slider, gets a playbutton on cards, and shows a full player on the article page with the imageas its poster.
Page builder in Sanity Studio
Seven ready-made sections: Hero slider, Featured posts, Advert banner, Postgrid, Post list, Page title and Contact. Build new pages by stacking them inany order. Every field explains where it appears on the page.
Working contact form
Name, email and message with validation, a spam trap, and success and errormessages you can edit. Messages are emailed to you through Resend: add yourAPI key and inbox address and it works.
Advert slots
A square advert in the front-page sidebar and a wide banner section, eachwith its own image and link, ready for your sponsors.
Site-wide settings
Edit the site name, tagline, menu, social links, footer newsletter text,copyright and the article sidebar from one Site settings page.
Fully responsive
Designed for desktop and built mobile-first: columns stack cleanly onphones, the menu scrolls horizontally, and images are cropped around thefocal point you set in the Studio.
Fast and accessible by default
Server-rendered with Next.js, optimised images, semantic headings, labelledforms and keyboard-friendly navigation. The slider pauses autoplay forvisitors who prefer reduced motion.
Demo content included
Fifteen written articles across Science, Politics, Economics and Videos,three authors, and every image and video from the demo, imported with`npm run seed`.
