About the project
LIFAD.WORLD is a fully custom, independent fan platform built around Sanity as the central content engine. The core challenge was creating a bilingual, high-performance news website capable of handling long-form articles, rapid tour coverage, and large volumes of high-resolution media.
A key focus was designing a flexible content model: articles, tour diaries, band profiles, multimedia blocks, and dynamic social-image generation. Sanity’s structured content approach allowed all content to be reusable across multiple sections of the site.
Video is handled via a direct MUX integration inside Sanity, enabling editors to upload, transcode, and embed performance footage and interview material with minimal friction. For images, automated social-share asset generation ensures that each article publishes with consistent branding and optimized metadata.
On the frontend, Next.js 16 with shadcn/ui delivers a clean, fast interface tuned for mobile users and high SEO performance. The site is fully internationalized with /de and /en routes and designed for long-term scalability as new tour years and album cycles emerge.
The main takeaway from building LIFAD.WORLD was how efficient it becomes to scale editorial workflows when Sanity serves as a structured, centralized source of truth. The combination of custom schemas, MUX integration, and a modern frontend allows the project to grow continuously without ever sacrificing performance or flexibility.
