Email addresses show [email protected]

Fix email addresses that render as [email protected] when Cloudflare Email Address Obfuscation is on.

Email addresses in your content (including Portable Text) can render as [email protected] and cause additional renders. This may be due to the protection settings on your content delivery network (CDN).

One known cause is Cloudflare’s Email Address Obfuscation. This can cause email addresses to briefly, or always, show [email protected] instead of an email address string and include a link that contains cdn-cgi.

To stop the obfuscation, turn off Email Address Obfuscation on the Cloudflare dashboard’s Security > Settings page, use a configuration rule to turn it off for specific hostnames, or, if you control the raw HTML output, wrap specific addresses in the page HTML with <!--email_off--> and <!--/email_off-->.
