Hi
user C
, sorry you're running into an error upgrading the studio. Could you share your custom
MotionComponent
code to help us reproduce the issue?

hey Peter, i dont have a custom MotionComponent...

I thought this was a Sanity intern component?
Apr 20, 2021, 10:53 AM
It might be but I wasn't able to find it as a studio component. It could also be part of a plugin perhaps. Could you share the plugins array from your
sanity.json
file just in case?

"plugins": [
  "@sanity/base",
  "@sanity/components",
  "@sanity/default-layout",
  "@sanity/default-login",
  "@sanity/desk-tool",
  "seo-tools",
  "media",
  "@sanity/vision",
  "intl-input",
  "tabs",
  "mapbox-input",
  "content-calendar",
  "color-list"
],

I had the same problem. Ended up doing “rm -rf node_modules” and then “npm install”. Also had a bunch of dependency errors after upgrading to 2.8.0…

Thanks
user P
- that may indeed be the way to go in this case.
user C
in addition to removing the
node_modules
folder, I would recommend also deleting your
package-lock.json
and
yarn-lock.json
files before running
npm install
.
Sorry you are experiencing these errors when upgrading.

Same error and same solution over here.
